Privacy Policy

We collect name, date of birth, nationality selection, email, phone, education status, location, optional institution, essay, referral and transaction references to administer the competition, verify eligibility, prevent fraud, judge submissions and pay awards. We do not collect card details; Paystack processes payment.

Assigned judges receive an anonymous submission ID and essay; avoid putting your name or school in the essay itself. Private account details, essays and scores are not published by default. Selected finalist display names and essay titles may appear during People’s Choice with the publication notice given to entrants.

Operational emails are sent through the existing website mail provider. Aggregated site conversion counts contain no names or contact details. Security rate limits use keyed hashes rather than storing raw IP addresses in competition tables. Identity documents are not required at initial registration.

We retain competition records while necessary for competition administration, prize, audit and legal obligations, with a review within 12 months after completion. Contact the organizer for access, correction, deletion or questions about retention and cross-border processors. Some payment records may need to be retained to meet legal duties. We do not sell entrant information.
